Chude Jideonwo, the media personality that had the explosive interview with Busola Dakolo in which she narrated how Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly allegedly raped her, has revealed that Timi Dakolo's wife is ready for the consequences of the 'tell-all' session.  The media personality in an exclusive interview on Linda Ikeji TV's 'On Air show' said that those alleging that the rape allegation is a difficult thing to prove and shouldn't have been brought up since it happened a long time ago, are enabling rapists.  Chude also pointed out that the Jurists who placed the statue of limitation on rape above 20 years know how grievious the crime is. Wall Street Journal in a new expose alleged that over a thousand Nigerian soldiers have been secretly buried at night by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, in order to hide the true state of the war on terror. According to the report,  'after dark, the bodies of soldiers are covertly transported from a mortuary that at times gets so crowded the corpses are delivered by truck, according to Nigerian soldiers, diplomats and a senior government official. The bodies are laid by flashlight into trenches dug by infantrymen or local villagers paid a few dollars per shift'. “Several of my comrades were buried in unmarked graves at night. “They are dying and being deleted from history” said a soldier from the Maimalari barracks, where more than 1,000 soldiers are based. On Thursday, August 1, 2019, the Super Eagles star took to Instagram to announce the good news after inking the deal with the management firm. 'Excited to announce that with @10manage, we are joining the @rocnationsports family! Big things coming#RocFam', he wrote. Boko Haram has killed over 27,000 people since 2009 - UN

According to a newly released data by the United Nations, over 27,000 people have been killed since the outbreak of Boko Haram militancy in Nigeria in 2009. Edward Kallon, the UN humanitarian coordinator in Nigeria said 130,000 people have also been newly displaced from their homes, as the insurgency took a new dimension with Islamic State of West Africa(ISWAP) emerging to supplant the Boko Haram, in lethal attacks.   “Rising insecurity in recent months has pushed over 130,000 newly displaced people on a long trudge. Arriving en masse to displaced camps, they are looking upon us for aid and protection,” the statement said. Boko Haram, whose agenda is to maintain a virtual caliphate in Nigeria, had also spread its tentacles to neighbouring countries including Chad, Niger, and northern Cameroon. The Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has denied claims of secretly burying over 1000 soldiers made in a publication by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).  We reported earlier that the report avowed that  'after dark, the bodies of soldiers are covertly transported from a mortuary that at times gets so crowded the corpses are delivered by truck, according to Nigerian soldiers, diplomats and a senior government official. The bodies are laid by flashlight into trenches dug by infantrymen or local villagers paid a few dollars per shift'. However the statement released by the Director Defence Information Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu, insisted that the  “insinuation can only emanate from an uninformed position of the author of the said publication.” It further reads, “It must be unambiguously clarified that the Armed Forces of Nigeria does not indulge in secret burials, as it is sacrilegious and a profanity to extant ethos and traditions of the Nigerian military. “The ce

Atiku Abubakar has called for the setting up of a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate claims of the secret burial of soldiers in the North East made by Wall Street Journal.   The WSJ had in an article titled, “Nigeria Buries Soldiers at Night in Secret Cemetery” alleged that the military buried soldiers in unmarked graves in the North East. Election Tribunal sacks Ondo State PDP House of Reps member, Ikengboju Gboluga

The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Akure, Ondo State Capital has nullified the election of Ikengboju Gboluga, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives member.   Gboluga is representing Okitipupa/Irele constituency in the House of Reps. The court nullified his election for swearing his allegiance to the United Kingdom (UK), having acquired the citizenship of the country. The court emphasised that he was not eligible to contest for the February 23, National Assembly election for his allegiance with UK.   The three-man panel headed by Justice Nuhu Adi also declared Albert Akintoye of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the election and ordered electoral commission to issue Certificate of Return to Akintoye after withdrawing same from Gboluga.   The petitioner wanted the tribunal to declare him winner of the election on the ground that the first respondent, Gboluga Ikengboju was  not validly elected by majority of lawful votes cast.  Besides

We have removed 5 million Nigerians from poverty- President Buhari

President Buhari has said that his government through its National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), has in three years, lifted no fewer than 5 million Nigerians out of extreme poverty. The president made this known at the opening of the Global Youth Employment Forum of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Abuja today Thursday August 1st.
